I recommend reading Bullshit Jobs by David Graeber. It feels weird to be told to be grateful for a job that you know is bullshit. It's depressing. I can't recall the source (it's in the book) but a huge percentage of workers feel their job is pointless and meaningless.

Just like digging a hole and then putting the dirt back in. This is what the hell hole is.

Sure you have healthcare, you have this and that, but you don't feel you're contributing.

You should be grateful for your job! Totally understandable, but this makes the lack of meaning in it way worse. Because you feel a way you shouldn't suppose to feel.

Please read that book man.
