Have you ever read the book by Sam Harris Free Will? He has great arguments against it, I had a sort of existential crisis after finishing it, but hey, life normalizes again after a while.

Anyways, I stand beside the little free will we do have. The power of choice, the last of human freedoms.

Interesting point about correction for the criminals, Marcus Aurelius remarks continuously that someone behaving in an evil manner is doing so out of ignorance and it is so true!
